Nada Global Village (Career Cafe) is our monthly program in which both international/ Japanese students and adults enjoy cultural interaction with one another. For this month, as a speaker, we’ll have Ms. YUKI TANABE, a photographer who focuses and photographs the very core of every object through a lens, and who talks on her own career with a theme: "What you expect and what you are expected in this society".
Ms. TANABE is aurally challenged, but grew up as an able-bodied person hiding her disability very early in life. She acquired lip-reading without any preferential treatment for disabilities, then went out to the real world.
In this Career Cafe, she talks not only on herself; how she found a job to start her career as an able-bodied overcoming difficulties during her life, but also on her profession as a photographer; what she desires to hand on through taking photos.
Her talk will surely inspire you to start your own career in this murky future. So come and join us!

キャリアカフェ（Nada Global Village）では、日本で学ぶ留学生と日本人学生が、将来のキャリア形成、それぞれの文化や研究分野など関心がある課題をテーマに、それぞれの価値観について語り合う機会を定期的に開催しています。 今月の第３９回キャリアカフェ（Nada Global Village）では、写心家（写真家）YUKI　TANABEさんに、「キャリアの羅針盤　この社会の中で求めること。求められること。」をテーマに、ご自身のキャリアについてご講演いただきます。
TANABEさんは、障害を隠し健常者同様に育ち、障害者優遇制度を受けず読唇術を身に着け、社会に出ました。健常者として就職し、キャリアを積み、困難な状況や不安をどう乗り越え克服していったか。
写真と出会い写真を通して、何を感じ、何を伝えていきたいか。不安定な先行き見えない状況下の中で、どのように自分でキャリアを見出していけばよいかについて、改めて考える機会になればと思っています。是非多くの皆さんのご参加をお待ちしています！
